Hua Shan

Hiked up Hua Shan (Mt Hua) today. Some parts are so steep you have to hold a metal chain as you climb. In other areas, people lock padlocks dedicated to loved ones along the chains (assume I did that for you).
There are elderly men that somehow carry large bags of supplies up [and trash down] for the stores at the peak. They often sing while they climb -- one liked to sing "happy new year to you" in English to the tune of 'happy birthday'.

I felt good at the top and we had brought plenty of snacks with us (including dried pineapples that were sweeter than candy).
Once back we visited the Drum Tower from the Ming Dynasty.

dried pineapple probably has some extra sugar added, no?
