Difficult to imagine it's been 4 years since my adventures in China. Since then I left Microsoft and joined Amazon (where it's always Day 1), shipped numerous Kindle devices, and built a multidisciplinary team across Seattle, Vancouver, and Palo Alto offices. I've never felt more excited about this next chapter, and never more uncertain.

I escaped the Seattle rain and arrived in San Diego today to a brief moment of panic before realizing that I had indeed packed my sunglasses.

After a customary Costco trip I ordered a new pair of specs from LensCrafters and proceeded to bring the San Diego dev center online.
