shopping part 2

today a coworker from Redmond took me to a local market called WuDaoKo. he speaks Chinese pretty well and was able to bargain a jacket down for me. lots of "name brand" stuff here... saw Louis Vuitton purses and Lacoste shoes for as low as $10. quality varies widely though and I'm pretty sure some of the styles are not real.

afterwards we ate at McDonalds. you don't have to ask for extra tartar sauce on your fish fillet -- they pile it on thick. they also have this really tasty chili sauce that I think is for the nuggets but we put it on our sandwiches.

I did laundry in the evening and hung everything up (including my unmentionables) on the clothes line outside.
