there's this website that has lots of short Chinese lessons for different scenarios (taxi, shopping, greeting, etc). it's pretty useful but after the 7 day trial you have to pay. fortunately I met a guy today who let me share his entire 4GB collection. :)

I also met a lady in the elevator whose husband works at Microsoft. she said they've been living there for 2.5 years and they do a game night on Friday nights.
