bu shi

Had a 1:1 Chinese lesson after lunch and then in the evening the Microsoft-sponsored group lessons began. you'd think after all these lessons I'd be pretty good by now... bu shi (not so).

met Gabe for dinner and took him back to the Indian restaurant where I'd taken the group a couple weeks back. I didn't realize what a schmoozer I had become until I was asking the owner - Rakesh - about his wife and daughter and Gabe asked me "how many times have you been here?"

"Just once."
